It is easy for we who have never experienced a war in

our backyards to determine what is necessary for peace

in war-torn regions, particularly the Middle-East,

particularly in Israel/Palestine. When we place our

notions of who is right and who is wrong above

our capacity to listen, we lose the ability to hear the

stories of others. In political, national, and ethnic

unrest, there are no winners, only losers. As one's

identity is removed for the sake of the identity of the other

both lose their identities. Just as we were found in Christ

so we find Christ in one another. As we find Christ in

one another, we realize we are are brothers and sisters.

Indeed, "nothing can separate us from the love of Christ,"

not even our very selves.
